LEVI

Levi is 1 year old. He has just begun to stand and cruise along the furniture.  He is not much trouble yet and can't really get into much either, but we're holding on for it.  Ready or not here it's coming!!

Levi failed his Newborn hearing screening and was obviously not hearing anything for 4 months regardless of how loud  the sound was (Balloon pop, kids yelling, doors slamming, nothing).  Between 4-6 months it was apparent that he was improving and by 6 months his ABR scores were 30dB in one ear and 75dB in the other.  His current behavioral test scores are 25dB.  His hearing loss is apparent in his babbling.  He babbles primarily with vowels, though sometimes consonants creep in.  He imitates our tone of voice in sustained vowel sounds.
